About the role

You will work across Fiji Client’s desktop application, local music integrations, Discord presence, browser bridge, and supporting web services. The goal is straightforward: when someone presses play, Fiji should understand the exact track and represent it beautifully without getting in their way.

What you’ll do

  • Ship reliable music detection and Discord Rich Presence features.
  • Improve artwork, artist, timing, link, and lyric accuracy across providers.
  • Build polished desktop interactions with careful loading, idle, and error states.
  • Strengthen automated tests, update delivery, and release protection.
  • Investigate real user reports across the client, browser extension, and API.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong software engineering foundation in C#/.NET or a comparable language.
  • Experience with desktop applications, operating-system APIs, or IPC.
  • Comfort working with TypeScript and small backend services.
  • Good judgment around product details, debugging, privacy, and reliability.
  • Ability to work from Tokyo, Japan.

Useful, not required

Discord RPC, Windows media sessions, browser extensions, WPF or Avalonia, music metadata, or shipping signed desktop applications. We care more about the work you can show and how you reason through a problem than a particular degree.
